ARCEx partner University of Oslo is hiring a PhD fellow in Geology/Geophysics. The 3-year fellowship will be focusing in subjects related to basin analysis and numerical modelling. The position is affiliated to work package 1 in ARCEx, and the candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary research group (that includes structural geologists, sedimentologists, geophysicists, and modellers) from both national collaborators and industry partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for integrated basin analysis, including numerical modelling, of selected areas in the Barents Sea with emphasis on: (1) Contractional and inverted structures in the great Barents Sea area, and (2) Basin formation and syn-breakup structuring along the western Barents Sea margin.
