Sten-Andreas Grundvåg, UiT, is co-authoring a paper entitled “depositional environment, ichnological features and oxygenation of Periman to earliest Triassic sediments in central Spitsbergen, Svalbard”, that was recently published in Polar Research.

The paper focus mainly on the trace fossil fauna and oxygenation in the Tempelfjorden Group, but also touch upon the dramatic changes in depositional environments and oxygen levels recorded between the Upper Permian and the Lower Triassic strata.
