Jean-Baptiste Koehl, an ARCEx PhD fellow, was awarded a prize for Best Presentation during the AMGG Annual Meeting 2016 in Tromsø on 12 April 2016. The title of his presentation was “Nearshore half-graben as analogues for offshore rift-basins on the Finnmark Platform” and was one of about 25 presentations during the meeting. J-B is involved in WP 2 Petroleum Systems and Play Concepts, and his research focuses on Onshore-offshore fault correlation on the SW Barents Sea margin, Western Troms and Finnmark.
The Arctic Marine Geology and Geophysics Research School (AMGG) offers courses, cruises and workshop for PhD students and young scientists in the field of arctic marine geology and geophysics. AMGG is hosted by the Department of Geology at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
